We came here for dinner on our first visit to the lakes. We popped in on the way back to our cottage for a drink and once we met the friendly bar manager Andrew and saw the real fire and friendly atmosphere we booked a table for two days later. On return we found a wide selection of real ales and wines. A varied menu with a specials board to suit all tastes and a roaring log fire on a cold winters evening. Whilst we perused the menu we were given a complimentary aperitif of olives and delicious bread. We then went through to the cosy restaurant for a meal which did not disappoint  All In all a lovely, friendly establishment which we would definately recommend.
